Dryer quit working

My dryer stopped working, had a load in it and went to check to see if clothes were dry. They were damp, turned on dryer and it did not start. First thing I checked was the circuit breaker, turned off and then on, nothing. I have a Magic Chef dryer, model #YE226LVC it is over 10 yrs old and never had a problem with it until now. Someone said it could be the thermal fuse where do I find that and how do I know it's blown. Also the door switch how do I access that and how do I know it's faulty? Hopefully it is an easy fix as I have to do it myself. Thank you.

Majic Chef Electric Dryer quit working during drying cycle. All lights on panel work but when push knob in to start nothing happens. Clothes did not get dry. Could it be a thermal fuse, and where is this located?

How do you dry clothes in this machine please

A fairly common problem! The official instructions are

Before using your dryer, wipe the dryer drum with a damp cloth to
remove dust from storing and shipping.
1. Load clothes loosely into the dryer and close the door. Do not
pack the dryer. Allow space for clothes to tumble freely.
2. Turn the Cycle Control knob to the recommended cycle for the type of load being dried. Use the Energy Preferred Automatic Setting (,) to dry most heavyweight and medium weight loads. See "Drying, Cycle, and Temperature Tips."
3. Select a temperature setting on models with a Temp/Fabric selector. The cycle descriptions include temperature setting suggestions.
4. Push the START button.

Stopping and Restarting
You can stop your dryer any time during a cycle.
To stop your dryer
Open the dryer door or turn the Cycle Control knob to OFE
NOTE: The Cycle Control knob should point to an Off area when
the dryer is not in use.
To restart your dryer
1. Close the door.
2. Select a new cycle and temperature (if desired).
3. Press START

Wed9200sq0 heats, tumbles but does not dry at any heat setting

You are correct. Pull the dryer out and disconnect your venting from the back of the dryer. Turn your dryer on and check to make sure your dryer is blowing air out of the dryer duct. If it is then leave your dryer out at least 2 ft from the wall and run a load of clothes through the dryer. If it dries your clothes normally then you have a venting restriction. Check to make sure your venting is clean, not kinked or smashed, make sure your outside vent is opening an doesn.t have something blocking it. Check your lint screen filter by running water through it. If water is not flowing through it, you have a build up of fabric softener on your screen, blocking air flow. Scrub your screen off and test again. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

Dryer stopped running, will not restart

When you try to restart do you hear a motor running? If you do hear that sound and the dryer does not turn your belt could be the problem. (broken)

My hotpoint vtd00 dryer seems to have stopped drying

Have you cleaned the exhaust ducting? The duct that runs from inside to outside. Try that first. Sounds like your exhaust line is blocked. Also with the filter out get a flash light and look down the venting if alot of lint vaccum out. NOTE: Unplug the unit, wheather gas or electric.....and if it is a gas shut off the gas to the dryer before moving just in case something gets loose while moving. Hope this helps.
