If it is gmail, you can access through a laptop browser? and see if your password and user name works. reset if need be. delete the account from the phone and add the username and password again as a new account. you may carefully reset just the gmail account if possible on the phone instead of doing a hard reset which would remove all personal data.

yes, Once you supply the IMEI# to Motorola with your full details they will help you unlock it. Often though they want it sent to them as the procedure is not always straight forward.

The default lock code is 12345.
If you changed it and forgot the security code please contacts your device dealer. They will reinstall the software fully and they will bring your mobile to default security code so that you can open your phone.
NOTE: While reinstalling the software all your contacts will be deleted.
This security lock prevents thieves from being able to make use of stolen handsets, that is why it can only be unlocked by authorised service centres.
While reinstall the software, device dealer will ask for your personal details to check whether the mobile belongs to you only. If they are satisfied with your answers they will start the process.

since you mentioned that you have already entered the wrong pin more than thrice, your security code will not work anymore as the phone will ask your for the PUK already. You need to contact your service provider for them to provide your PUK.
Once you have your puk already, enter it on your phone then afterwards, your phone will be working properly.
