How do I sew a rolled hem on an old Elnalock overlocker?

I have lost the manual for my old overlocker. For many years I have only used it for finishing seams, but it still sews beautifully after 30+ years. Can you please give me instructions on how to sew a rolled hem with it because I have forgotten.

Can I make rolled hem with a Juki MO 2366 N?

Most likely. Most overlockers can make a rolled hem. You will probably want to do a lot of practicing on scrap chiffon before trying it on the real thing. It involves using only one needle, both loopers, and making appropriate adjustments to the machine.

I need help in good tension for rolled hem in empisal 606D overlocker

Your owner's manual should have instructions for rolled hem settings. My Bernina manual has a the following settings:
Medium weight fabric
80/12 Universal needle
3 cones serger thread
Upper looper 3-5
Lower looper 7-9
Left needle (no thread)
Right needle 3-5
Stitch length 1-1.5
Cutting width 2-3
Differential feed N

Can use woolly thread in the upper looper, but the tension may need to be loosened since the woolly nylon thread will stretch.

How do I sew a rolled hem on an old elna overlocker?

If you put the make and model number with the word Manual, into a google search, you may be able to find a manual online. Some are free, some are copies and cost a bit.. but there are tons of them out there.

You might also try contacting Elna.. some companies, sometimes, have copies of older manuals available or might be able to direct you to a shop that could show you how it works.

This may be too small to read, if so, email via
www.bargainbox.com.au and I shall send it on........remember to only ever use the R needle, so you only have 3 threads.

To move the Rolled hem arm, you will need to release the upper knife (knob on left inside cover....push to the right and blade moves approx 6mm) so you can slide the small metal tongue to correct position for:

N = Normal
R = Rolled
