use BBSAK and reset the Berry.
then you connect it to the PC and run the Blackberry Software that will reinstall the OS to the latest available for your model.
You will have also the chance to make a backup to be restore afterwards.

1. Download and install the following- BBSAK, Blackberry desktop, the firmware for your phone.

2. Run BBSAK, press Wipe phone then wait for two minutes.

3. Then close it and open Blackberry desktop, run phone upgrade, wait 40 minutes, then upgrade the applications.

i used to have same issue but this is not an error with the phone. this is a network error. it usually happens when the network is crowded. you have to keep trying to open it. i have had messages that took upto 6 hours to retrieve.... good luck
