How do you turn the ringer on/off on aatt 993 2 line phone

If you mean the AT&T 993 two-line speakerphone, you can adjust the ringer volume for each line when the phone is not in use. To increase the ringer volume on the primary line (if set), press the Volume Up arrow. To decrease the ringer volume, press the down arrow. There are 8 different volume levels available for the ringer. The Volume Up/Down buttons are below the * and 0 keys.

To adjust the ringer volume on the secondary line, press that line button (between the Conference and Hold buttons) and then press the Volume Up or Down buttons as needed. (If you haven't programmed a primary line, press a Line button and adjust that line's ring volume before pressing the other Line button. Then adjust the volume for that Line.)

I hope this helps. These directions are shown on page 32 of the manual. AT&T currently has the manual here : https://att.vtp-media.com/ecp/documents/product_Product/227/UserManual/5596/993_manual_i14.pdf . How do I reenable the ringer on my ATT 993 phone. The phone does not ring

Make sure to look on the phone itself, and see if there might be a button on the unit, or base station, that turns the ringer on/off.

Ringer settings on 8825 base unit

You can adjust the volume and pitch of the ringing by pushing Menu, scroll forward to Desk Station Settings, push Select, scroll to Ringer Volume and you can adjust the ringer volume, and in that same area adjust the pitch. So you might want to make line 2 ring lower, and with a different pitch so it is not distracting, but still notifies you of an incoming call that is not line 1. The same goes for the handset.

Programing

Here are some suggestions Volume You may adjust the ringer, speaker, handset and headset volumes independently with the VOLUME ^ and VOLUME v buttons. Your telephone comes with predetermined settings which can be adjusted to individual taste. You will hear an error tone when the maximum or minimum volume level is reached. During volume adjustment, a ?dashed line? icon shows in the display. Adjusting the Ringer Volume Press the VOLUME ^ or v button while in on-hook mode. And/or 1 Selecting a Ringer Tone You may select the ringer tone for each line independently. You may choose to turn the ringer off or select one of the four available ringer tones for each line. 1. Press STORE. The red indicator blinks indicating unit is in Store Mode. 2. Use the number pad to select a ringer tone 0 through 4 (selecting 0 turns the ringer off). 3. Press STORE and then press the desired line button. NOTE: The line indicators continue to flash for incoming calls even with the ringer disabled. You may not select the same ringer tone for both lines. Checking the Ringer Settings Check the setting or each ringer (on, off) by pressing STORE, followed by LINE 1 or LINE 2 button when the phone is on the hook. The ringer setting of the selected line will be shown in the display. If there are any further questions or comments please post here. Please rate this solution through fix-it. Thank you.
