Thirst thing to try is take the batterys out of the remote and push all of the buttons to get any electric static for say 3 to 5 minutes if that don't work try to see if your remote signal works by using your iphone and take a few photos of the remote beam when pressing ,or the remote in the tv might have gone. Ps happened to me
It's obvious that the power supply failed. The most common parts in a power supply are a thermistor or a voltage rectifier, possibly even a voltage regulator. diodes or resistors can act as fuses too. A ringing sound can come from a fixed coil that isn't kept still with enough epoxy. Hope this helps.
go to turn tv on,hear a poping noise, once then tv standby lite blinks 3 times repeatily but no picture or audio.can you help me out with this thank you
My vizio recently did the same exact thing. Vizio sent an HDTV tech out to fix it and it was the power board. He put a new board in (took 15 min) and the tv works like new.
It is most deffinately a convergence chip issue. The die for no reason. They can be bought online for around $10 dollars and anyone with experience with soldering can replace them pretty easily. I have done it.
The first thing is to check to see if the fuse is blown,if so replace with a 5 amp fuse, fuse is located near were the power cord connects to the board, make sure set is disconnected from power.
The red led would flash about 1 to 9 times, then stop's about 5 sec and restart.
There is nurmerous problem that may cause your ctv not to function, first commond porblem is power supply, second is defflection circuitry Vertical and horizontal, second is a bad solder connection very rarely, bad cap's is a factor or voltage regulator. You would have to get the schematic first to even try to think about troubleshooting. Lot's of technician or fedup with hight price for info's, all info should be free if compagny's like sony want's to help. There web site well it speak's for itself, not enough tech support. You can't call, there no one there or won't answer.
If you need the schematic I don't know how but maybe I can send you a link. First I would check for short circutry to see if you can solve it.
I have the same problem. The only way to get the TV to come on is to unplug it, but once you get it back on it turns itself off again in a few minutes.
