SOURCE: Numark TTX1 Turntable Problem-Platter stops

This is a drive issue. Unfortunately the TTX direct drive system isn't the greatest. It's good, but it's no Technics 1200. The only way to 'fix' this issue is to have a professional look at main circuit board to see if there are any components which are burned, or damaged in any way.

Hope this helps some.

Your center pin is seized. You need to remove the three screws holding the center pin. Then remove the screw holding the shaft in place. Lubricate it with a light grease/oil and reassemble. I used spray lithium grease, but don't know if its correct.

I don't know the answer, but you have written one of the finest, most comprehensive problem descriptions I have come across. In mechanical scenarios, that is priceless. I'm sure a turntable guru will see it and go, "aw. I know what that is". Good Luck.

To replace a turntable drive belt.

1, Remove the rubber platter mat to expose the platter.

How do I attach the turntable belt to the Aiwa px e850

Lift the platter off the turntable. You can identify the motor spindle by using your fingers to turn the round shaft which rotates freely. Remove the rubber mat off the platter. Place the belt around the outside of the drum on the bottom of the platter. From the top of the platter, place your finger in one of the platter holes and tension the belt so it will not fall off or twist. Griping the platter trough the holes while keeping tension on the belt place the platter on the turntable aligning your finger with the belt to the motor spindle. Place the section of the belt on your finger over the motor spindle. Replace the rubber mat on the platter.

I have a tecnics turntable and need to know how to put the belt on Its model # is SL-L26

Lift off the rubber platter cover (the disk that records set on while playing) there should be 2 openings in the aluminum plate. Slowly rotate platter until you can see the pulley of motor. Lift aluminum platter straight up and off. Place belt around underneath pulley on platter. Reinstall platter to turntable. Reach through one of slots in plater and grasp the belt gently, line up slot with motor pulley and place belt over pulley (ensuring not to twist belt) rotate platter to observe belt, confirming correct installation. Reinstall rubber platter cover. VOLA!

I need to put new turntable belt on a Technics SL-B200

The belt goes underneath the turntable platter. First you attach to the lip on the bottom of the turntable platter, then you put the platter on the turntable. You'll see some holes on the platter, after you put it on, just rotate the platter, until you see the motor shaft, then pinch the belt around the motor shaft.
