My ge fridge / freezer is not cooling correctly. the temp in the freezer is 40 degrees and there is frost on the back wall, but no ice and the water thru the door is really slow. I did reset the icemaker originally following a youtube video and that seemed like it was going to help, but in the end, the next problem to occur was the freezer being too warm and the fridge being 50 degrees. I am at my wits end, I will get service on it, but I am afraid its really going to cost more money than I can afford. :( --any suggestions out there what I can check myself? im becoming pretty handy.
Hi,
Many times a freezer and/or refrigerator do not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many other things that can go wrong.
If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out the last two tips.
If your refrigerator is running but warm, then...
Check out these tips that I wrote about that... it is a great place to start trouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then calling a repair person to do a simple thing for you...
