You probably have blown capacitors on the PSB-power supply board. Recaping with new UF caps works 90% of the time. The set turns itself of into a fault protection to keep from damaging more components internally. A few bucks a soldering iron some solder should do the trick.

Hi,
Your TV have problem with the back light inverter board. This type of complaint can occur under two circumstances.
1.Faulty electrolytic capacitor in the power supply board
2. The back light inverter board.
If
you have knowledge in electronics then check the power supply for any
faulty or budged electrolytic capacitor. Have adde the picture of faulty
electrolytic capacitor how it will look like. check the link. faulty capacitor .
If
the are no such faulty electrolytic capacitor then you have to replace
the back light inverter board. There is no repair possible with inverter
board because its spares are rarely available.
You have didn't mention any model number of your TV. so its not possible to add the exact picture of the inverter board.
