How do I convert my adcom 5400 from 110v to 220v(moved to Australia)

I can see the 100-120v jumpers and the 220v jumper on the power supply board, also on the protection board. Do I simply move the jumpers?

You need to move the jumpers, then change the Mains Fuse to half of what it was in the US. This is because it remains the same wattage as it was, but now has twice the line voltage applied. Enjoy! Thats a nice unit.

IBM x3550 Server

Hello,

You will need to remove the cover and locate the jumper that controls your BIOS setting. (Sometimes located near the back of the server board by the power supply. Check your owners manual for exact location.)

Move the jumper the BIOS reset, power on your server and follow the onscreen instructions. When complete, move the BIOS jumper back to regular position (1 and 2) and reboot.

Good Luck

Does this heater need to run on 220

Electrical connections :

The heater is shipped from the factory wired for use with 240VAC, 60 Hz field power supply. To convert the

heater to 120VAC, 60 Hz operation remove the 240VAC voltage selector jumper from the ignition control board

and replace it with the 120VAC jumper. These jumpers are tie-wrapped together and are located on the fuse
board.

I have no on board video or external video via the agp video card. computer emits no beeps during boot prosess. all power supply voltages are available.

I've got a via p4m266. and I've found that it does that if you put the cmos reset jumpers on the reset setting. check for one stand alone jumper across 3-pins, check readings on board for location of cmos reset jumpers & move jumper to bridge the unbridged connection.

I need to get into the BIOS and it's asking for the current password. How can I get around needing a password?

There are a couple of ways to get around this. You will need to remove the side panel from your PC and have a look at the system board. On the board you will see a small disc shaped battery and you should also see a small jumper near by. You can clear the password by either remove the battery for 60 seconds (guaranteed to work if it's just a BIOS password) or by moving the little jumper one pin over and pressing the power button. After this you can replace the battery or move the jumper back to it's original position and you should be free to enter the BIOS.

Europowre pmp 3000 a120v or 220v?

There is a jumper (JP1 or J1). If you cut that jumper, the mixer will operate for 220V. This power supply is the same with the ones used in desktop computers. I did that to my mixer bought from US made for 110v. I replaced that jumper with a switch (from a desktop power supply), I made a whole and I fixed the switch on the pack panel of the mixer. So now, I can switch it manually for 110v or 220v. It's working perfectly. I tested it for long time and no problems. Good luck.
PS. I called the Behringer technical support in the US and they weren't able to teach me that. So I figured it out myself after a big research. See the pictures about my project. :)

Put in new power supply, computer will not boot up. Asks what type of power supply, when I answer generic the computer will not continue to boot up. When I go into bios it says power supply is disabled and...

Try resetting the BIOS, depending on the motherboard, there will either be a button, switch or small jumpers that will short two pins and reset the cmos on the board. Just make sure to take out all the extra peripherals before powering back up. If you have jumpers, look for the one marked CMOS, not the one marked password. Move the jumper plug over one pin and power the system up. Wait approx. one minute and power back down, remove the power plug from the back and press the power button on the front to bleed off the power. Move the jumper back to its original place, plug the power cord back in and try booting the system back up. If it boots you will need to restart and get back into the BIOS and reset the time and date.

How to remove cmos/bios password ?

A. By Using the Motherboard Jumper:
In most motherboards CMOS battery is soldered, which makes it difficult to remove the battery. In this case we use another method.
Almost all motherboards contain a jumper that can clear all CMOS settings along with the BIOS password. The location of this jumper varies depending upon the motherboard brand. You should read your motherboard manual to check its location. If you don't have the manual then look for the jumpers near the CMOS battery. Most of the manufacturer label the jumper as CLR, CLEAR, CLEAR CMOS, etc.
When you find the jumper, look carefully. There will be 3 pins and the jumper will be joining the center pin to either left or right pin. What you need to do, is remove the jumper and join the center pin to the opposite pin. e.g. if the jumper joins center pin to left pin, then remove it and join center pin to right pin. Now wait for a few seconds and then again remove the jumper and join the center pin to left pin.
Make sure to turn the PC off before opening the cabinet and resetting the jumper.

B. By Using Software:

I have found that BIOS/CMOS Password Recovery Tool is the most effective.:
BIOS/CMOS Password Recovery Tool is a program that works instantly to remove any lost or forgotten BIOS/CMOS password. Simply boot your PC to DOS and execute the program, and get access to forgotten BIOS/CMOS passwords in just seconds
