You shouldn't have to, the traverse/pick-up assembly is not like older models where calibration is required. Just make sure you remove the solder bridge before trying to use the unit. This solder bridge is located on the new assembly's PCB.

If you have the CDJ800, then the following will show you:

CDJ800 PICK UP ASSEMBLY SOLDER BRIDGE

If you have the CDJ800MK2, then you'll have to reference the service manual.

How can i calibrate my CDJ 800 Mk 2 with serato.

Make Sure Yo Have the timecode cds and the 800mk2 is one of the best controller for serato and dont use the master tempo on the cdj if you have the latest serato firmware it should have it on there!

Cdj 800 mk1 error code 83 02...no movement from deck at all. same discs worked perfectly 2 days ago...they work fine on my sl dz 1200

Chances are you have a defective laser mechism assembly as the error your getting is a focus and tracking error from the assembly

CDJ 800 Bad Laser

Yes, sounds like you have a bad traverse assembly (laser). You can replace it yourself, however, I wouldn't suggest it, as you need to calibrate the assembly after the installation, and remove a solder bridge (which keeps the unit safe during transport). It is a little complicated, if you don't have experiencing doing this type of work. Taking it to a service center would be your best option.

CDJ 800 mk2. Will play audio cd fine but won't play mp3's

There is no easy fix for this. You will more than likely have to have the CD traverse assembly replaced - you could try a professional cleaning and alignment first - but ultimately, you will have to replace the cd assembly.

Pioneer CDJ-800MKII

Any error codes??? you must provide some more info... is the screen blank? When you are trying to insert a cd do you hear any noise from the mechanism?
