When I am logged into MY BT, the image in 'Extras' for BT MAIL, is missing. I wish to create a BT email address and the 'BT MAIL' link does not appear among my extras. All of the others are there, but not BT MAIL. Can you please add the 'image' of the mobile phone with 'BT MAIL' to my extras. All guidance on how to create a BT email address says "Scroll down to the extras and click on BT MAIL. I HAVE THAT PARTICULAR ONE MISSING, SO I CANNOT CREATE A BT EMAIL ADDRESS. PLEASE ADD THIS LINK/EXTRA TO MY SCREEN.THE BOTTOM RIGHT OF THE SCREEN, WHERE THERE CLEARLY SHOULD BE ANOTHER 'EXTRA' IS JUST A BLANK SPACE, NEXT TO THE OTHER 'EXTRAS'WHERE THERE SHOULD BE ANOTHER MOBILE PHONE IMAGE WITH 'BT MAIL' ON IT.
Thank you,
D.C.

For existing yahoo account, you can't change your email address but you can change your name. If you want to set up a new yahoo email, go to https://login.yahoo.com/config/mail?.src=ym&.intl=us and sign up. Let me know if this helps.

If you receive a message asking you to change your password, it's important you do so.
changing their mail service, but I don't think this changes what I have said above.

Every iPad should be capable of sending email. You first have to setup the account, in settings, then email, then add new account.
While entering a new account, you have to fill in all settings correct, so you need to know it it is a POP or SMTP server, you must fill in the complete and correct e-mailadres and server name and the correct password. if filled in and you press next, the program will check the validity of the address. Only if the address exists and the password is correct it will tag everything green. Then you can use the mail address. It must be an existing mail address. You can't create new addresses in that part.
I'm not sure if you are running the iPad on a G3 or G4 network from BT, because that firm can try to block other mail, to save bandwidth, but I don't believe that.
You should be able to setup the BT account. If you keep having trouble setting up the BT account, visit a bt store and ask them to setup your mail address
Not sure what your problem is, Joan; I was able to log in fine... HOWEVER, on the front page they tell you that the way you log in has changed; try this link;

it sounds like you are BT customer. if you want to use their email (don't, instead, open up a Gmail account and route your things there but:) then BT can help you with the email client settings. if you can log on here https://signin1.bt.com/login/emailloginform then your account is okay. the Mac Mail is an email client, it needs to be set to log onto BT Mail. For that BT has to authorize the access, so they have the instructions how to set up mail. Likely, that you need to create an Account, similar to Yahoo that has a port number and secure logon setting. Likely, they send this page to you: http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/9962
Anyway, not a Mac problem...
You cannot reverse the BT page back to Yahoo. Back in May, BT announced it would no longer make Yahoo Mail the default mail client for it's 6 million customers due to concerns their accounts were vulnerable to getting hacked.
Yahoo has since fixed many of the issues that concerned BT and if you prefer Yahoo Mail you can always visit http://mail.yahoo.com and set up your own account for free, although you would also have a new email address.
If you did create a new account you can always automatically forward the emails from the BT account to your shiny new Yahoo account.
Being the main BT account holder, yesterday I found that each time I try to gain access to my Yarhoo Mail the screen goes blank with the words "Server hang up". Other users of this property broad band phone number are still able to connect to their Yarhoo Mail. Even from different computers at different locations the same thing occurs on my email address. My husband has given me his email address below, so I can hopefully see your reply via his laptop.
