I recommend using the free CleanMyMac application to clean your system. Moreover, try freeing up hard drive space by removing / backing-up files you no longer need. There is also another free program called OnyX which is also a great maintenance and optimization tool for Mac OS X.

Try en external USB mouse, if that still doesn't solve it, press Ctrl+Alt+Del, go to Processes, look for explorer.exe,click on in and " end process", click on "File", New Task", and type explorer, see if you can move your pointer now!

Use the power cord for the iPhone. It should be the USB connector on one end and the small plug on the other end. Plug the USB into the computer and open up iTunes. Under the FILE menu at the top, there should be a pull down sub menu that say "devices" SYNC. Your iPhone will appear on the side bar once you switch to the "Playlist" page. You can drag a whole playlist into your phone icon or do individual tracks. At least, that's what I do. Let me know if this works for you.

Try another brand of DVD media. The data density on dvd's is much higher than cd's. I have not had any luck with cheap brands of dvd's. You could also try slowing down the burn speed. The cheaper dvd's may need a slower speed setting.
Are you letting the dvd burner "verify" the burn? Or are you skipping that step? Verifying the burn won't fix a bad burn, but it will let you know if the burn failed. Then you won't keep the dvd around until later, just to find out it doesn't work.

First: Hi please click on your apple icon top left, click on "Force Quit", then Force Quite Skype if it's in the List.
