Sounds like an intermittent pump control button, keep trying and you might get it to switch. You could also try disconnecting entirely from power for a few hours, then plugging it in. I think that the humidifier power-up default is with the pump disabled.

After running for awhile the pump light starts blinking and the drain tube is not bent ?

Sounds like the plumbing is obstructed somewhere, try looking upstream as well as downstream of the pump. A very small piece of crud can cause a clot or embolism in the narrow channel. You might try blowing out the system with compressed air, but beware of getting showered with dehumidifier crud!

Beeping tank warning light blinking, pump light not on

I think this means your pump is not working, and therefore the tank is full. The pump could just be switched off, could have failed, or could be clogged. See the other messages regarding this model, for an excellent description of how to clean out a clogged pump.

Red exclamation sign blinking

Dehumidifier? Sounds like a warning of some sort. A humidifier does a simple job, removing moisture from the air. If yours is not set up to drain, it could have a full holding tank. Empty it out and give it a rinse and it should be good. Drop a couple drops of chlorine bleach in it to keep down the mold growth.

If it isn't a full tank, it could be an air filter that needs cleaning or replacing. Often these things are programmed in and needs to be cleared. Clean and or replace any and all air filters and look for a reset button.

Good luck.

For the others who follow

I have the same model, same problem on a 2 year old purchase made in 2014. This unit has a pump (and a hose) to drain the condensate.

The pump light started blinking about a week ago, turning cycling power worked for a while, until pumping stopped altogether.

After investigating:
-the hoses are not blocked but there was some algal growth in the tray which I cleaned
-the pump no longer pumps.
-my favorite parts suppliers and other on-line sources have no record of the model/parts etc.
-Called "whirlpool" consumer line in manual
-Whirlpool has been purchased by Garrison and that company has no parts for this discontinued model but did provide a phone number for the pump 800-799-0991. Unfortunately the cost of this small solenoid pump is $74.

I will drain the condensate via gravity to a floor drain as I don't see spending that much for something that broke so quickly and appeared poorly made..

Condensate pump buzzes but does not remove water. have blown out discharge hose and clean check valve with changing symptons. Should I give up and put it on a box and buy a separate condensate pump or...

Edwin, according to the Owner's Manual, when this happens the drain hose is not connected properly. Turn the unit OFF and unplug it, then disconnect the hose and reconnect it. Plug the unit back in, Turn the Master ON/OFF Switch to ON and press the pump button. If the hose is connected properly, the pump should tunr on and pump the water out.

To help you further, I have included a link to the Owner's Manual for a Delonghi model like yours. Once you go to that page, click on the Acrobat Reader Icon and download the Owner's Manual. You may print it is you like.

I have a DANBY PREMIERE R410A dehumidifier. I have misplaced the manual. I want to have the unit run for a fixed period of time (not all the time). HELP!!!

On the control panel the 3rd button from the left is the timer button. If you press this button when the unit is running the number display on the left will start blinking- use the up/down arrows to set the time that you want the unit to run.
If you press the timer button when the unit is off it will run on and off for the designated time you set- eg if you set 1 then every 1 hour the machine will switch on and run for 1 hour.
(The left # will just blink once you have the time you want just leave it and eventually the normal humidity setting reading will show)
