That makes no sense sir. In order for the printer to be able to place the toner and activate it, it needs to heat up in order to fuse the ink in the proper way to make text or an image. Disabling this will just make the printer print out blank pages with maybe some loose toner powder all over it.

SOURCE: I have a OKI C6150 got a jam now I have a Fatal #980

Inside fixing unit are also thermoswitch and thermistor wich can burn out, but also the fixing lamp too. You must dissasemble it and by DVM test the circuits, if the circuit is opend on thermistor, that means that he is burnd out.

sounds like the printer heads needs to be clean or a paper jam.

your printer should have came with self cleaning software

paper jam
remove paper tray, open all access to printer to check if there is a crumbled paper or even a small torn piece of paper from a previous jam.

OKI C711 928:fatal error

Just to confirm that Jeff Hughes is correct. 928 does refer to paper wrapped around the fuser rollers making the thermistor see nothing hence the 928. If there is no paper in the fuser then it will need to be replaced. Remember to turn the machine off when removing or replacing the fuser.

I have a OKI C710 printer that I bought from Radio Shack in Mayfield and they set it to just print in monochrome and I am wanting it to print in color again but don't know how to reset it back

They probably changed the setting in your operating system. Do you have windows or apple? Beyond that, do you recall if they made this change at the store on the printer itself, or were they tinkering with your PC when they made it monochrome?

It prints ghost images of the print job

Problem is most likely in the fuser. Are you using thick paper or anything other than 20lb bond.

If so use the printer properties to change the paper type. This will tell the fuser what temperature to use when fusing the image to the paper.

How to do borderless printing with an oki c5300

You cannot do borderless printing with a toner/fuser based unit.
The printer needs a paper grip area and cannot print to the edge due to the fuser.

OKI C5510 - when printing on photo paper, makes goo all over and photo does not print properly??

you must choose the thickest media type possible at the printer and on the pc. your fuser is not fusing properly causing toner to goo on the roller, changing to thick paper increases temp and slows printing to ensure bonding. some coated papers do not work well with OKI printers. you should check mnf website for specs and recommended papers types

OKI-B8300 MONO PRINTER

H4-01 Heat roller low temp is correct.

You machine has a fuser unit that it uses to bond the toner to the paper, it does this with  a heater lamp heating a set of rollers that the paper passes threw after it has printed.

Your machine monitors this unit to regelate its temp, your machine is sensing via a thermister and thermal fuse the temp of the fuser unit is not hot enough to enable use, this would mean the heater lamp is blown, thermister is faulty or thermal fuse blown 95% chance it's the lamp,

What one normally does is replace fuser assembly with new this is not a user thing it requires a tec, but if your into it, it is the hi voltage hot bit near paper exit.
