My emerson hd8197 compact disc player won't stop skipping

Hello Keira

Buy a CD Lens Cleaning Disc from Walmart. Run that a couple of times. If that doesn't fix it send it back.

Oh, it a portable Sony Disc Player clone. That means it has to be 15 years old or more. Actually, I found the date '18/6/2007'. It's a new 14 year old device that has been in storage. Emerson are a bargain basement brand and generally lack quality..

What makes the cd skip after about 45 to 60 seconds into a song each dc in each slot does it, than a message CD ERROR lights up in the dash how do i fix this its the origional cd player in trunk &am

sounds to me like the lens assembly can't move freely all the way on the slider when reading discs. This will require you to open the cd changer unit completely to get to the lens assembly. When you get to it, check if there is anything jamming the lens from moving and the sliders, like part number labels that came unglued, screws that fell out, plastic pieces that broke, or even just leaves and branches and such. If everything is clear, then probably the sliders just need some oil and because of lack of lubrication, the lens assembly jams. Just regular sewing machine or electric motor oil will do the job quite nicely. If you don't feel like opening it yourself, you can always bring it to an electronics repair store to have it fixed. Other than that the only option would be to change the cd changer unit altogether. Hope this helps :)

I have a Tivoli Music System radio/CD player. When it is moved to another room and plugged in at the new location, it won't run! The screen lights up a little, but has to sit for 30-40 minutes bef

The Tivoli Music System must be left without power for a minute (60 seconds or more) anytime it is unplugged, before being plugged in again. If you observe this little rule when changing rooms, it should turn on and be usable immediately (after ensuring it has been at least a minute since it was last connected to power.)

My screen wont move to the left all the way

1. Make sure you have the latest driver installed for your Graphic Card
Or Built-In Graphic
2. On your Desktop, Right Click>Properties>Settings>Advanced>Monitor
and change the Screen Refresh Rate (60/70/75/80/85...etc)
You can also try to change the Graphic Adapter Mode (Screen Resolution)
For example: 1280 by 1024,True Color (24 Bit), 60 Hertz...etc.

Hi my cd player in my new beetle . when i play a cd it pauses between tracks instead of playing continuously as the cd was designed to do

It is most likely an anti-skip feature built into the radio. Many radios have this option and they pause for a moment and build up a bit of the song into the internal memory(up to 60 seconds), and this internal memory helps keep your CD from skipping.

Common problem and fairly easy to fix.
Problem
Screen shrinks and expands - may or may not correct itself after the TV warms up. After a few days, weeks, or months of having the shrinking/expanding problem you may loose all audio/video but the power light will remain lit!

Solution:

Check with the site www.TvRepairKits.com. They have built a kit to fix this problem.

Samsung sync master 510 monitor display problem

It may be that the LCD monitor will not display all screen resolutions so you may need to change your resolution to match the desired resolution and refresh rate of the LCD. In your case the computer should be outputting:

1024x768 pixels
60 Hz

You can change these settings by right clicking on the desktop and clicking properties and they're under the settings tab. Change the screen resolution by moving the slider to the recommended setting (1024x768)

and

under the advanced button click the "monitor" tab - make sure the screen refresh rate is set to 60 hertz (60 hz)
