Why does my Makita 6011D cordless drill not work when my charged battery in installed? The battery does work on my Makita saw so I know it is not the battery.

I charged the battery. It works with my Makita saw but not with the cordless drill.

Look inside where the Battery terminals connect.
THey are flat metal springs inside the drills Battery hole.
Make sure the are not compressed down causing them not to touch the battery terminals of the battery.

ALso check the Brushes on the drills motor they may need replacing...

Does makita 14.4 3.0ah work with makita 14.4 2.6ah drill

If the battery fits in the tool normally, without forcing it, yes both batteries will work in your tool. The AH (Ampere Hours) rating on batteries is a measurement of how long the battery will last on a full charge. Higher AH ratings means the battery lasts longer on a charge but usually at the expense of a slightly larger and heavier battery.

I have a NiMH rechargeable battery for my Makita drill. It is a 9.6V 2.2Ah battery - they don't charge anymore. I don't know if it's the battery or the charger - how do I find out.

This happens regular with Makita battery powered tools Try putting the battery in the frezer overnight this remedy worked for me once with a Hitachi battery if not you would be cheeper buying a new drill rather than a new battery.
