If any of your drinks are freezing you need to adjust your temp setting. The suggested setting is 5. changing the temp setting basically tells the refrigerator to stop cooling when the temp hits a low degree, and to start cooling when it hits a high degree. This keeps your drinks not to hot, not too cold, but just right. If this doesn't work I would change the cold control altogether, it might've went bad. If you have a few minutes, locate the condensor fan (bottom) and make sure it is periodically turning on and off like it should.

SOURCE: 1988 true GDM 33 its 100+deg. in my shop.

The unit is probably not designed to work in an ambient temp that high, probably 90-95 would be as hot as the manufacturer was thinking, however the age of this unit probably means the compressor valves are not sealing quite as well as they used to. this can cause a unit to never pull down all the way to proper temp. get as much air circulating to the unit to help draw heat away

True GDM-49 The unit even with the thermostat set as high as it will go will only cool to about 60 degrees.

You mean 'low as it can go', talking temperature not numbers. The temperature is too high. You need a refrigeration engineer. You either need a top up of gas or the thermostat has failed. They are great fridges, I have had lots of them in my career.

What size light bulb for a GDM 12 coke fridge

  • Safety shielded fluorescent interior lighting.
  • Cabinet lighting utilizes electronic ballast and T-8 bulbs for brighter illumination, longer bulb life and increased energy

  • Remove yours and take to THD or Lowe's. Could call first; make have to go to specialty lighting store if not available at the DIY stores.

My gdm 26 is too cold. have the control on 1 and it is 33 degrees. I have replaced the temp control and it has a new compressor

Make sure the knob is on correctly, very easy to install wrong. Sounds silly but I find them wrong a lot. Look at the shaft, next that is a tab, the tab goes in the shortest channel under the knob. If it is in the longer channel it slips and is not accurate.

True freezer gdm 35f to cold

you just have to change the temperature control. I recommend using a white rodgers part no. 1609-105 set the cut out to about 33 cut in at 38 or 39 you might have to set defrost time to less minutes about 5 or 6 if coils dosent frezze with the setting i gave you. the bulb of the temperature control can be placed on the border dof the difusser.
