Are you talking about rear shocks or front fork tube/slider assemblies, either way there should be NO squeaking. Is there something on rear shocks that is contacting and rubbing?? Is any mounting hardware loose. Otherwise you probably need new shocks. Front fork tube should not be squeaking and could not likely be dry ie no fluid inside or you would notice poor ride quality. Otherwise there should not be anything that could/would squeak up there. Maybe it is not a shock that is squeaking but something else in that area that is loose or rubbing.

I'd like to remove/modify the baffles. Any tips/suggestions? (07 St Bob with Screamin Eagles)

The best solution to this in order to keep performance and sound qualities is to replace your current exhaust.
tho the screamin eagle exhaust systems allow more flow, they are not up to a racing par along with vance and hines or thunder header or so on
screamin eagle is kept in guidelines under the epa so sound is on the lesser side and so is performance,
i would check out thunderheader.net
their systems are the best performing and sound 100% amazing
i will warn you that they are not the prettiest things out their tho
other than that there is on some model screamin eagle exhausts is a small allen button head screw that will remove the baffles. and some don't

2007 Sportster Coil

the stock coil is fine for stage 1 motors, once you go cams and high compression then you start to need better voltage and faster generation of spark. Using a performance coil on a stock bike will just cost you in plugs as you also need to upgrade your plugs to deal with the higher loads, the stock plug will cope it will just erode the electrode faster. on my metric motor i was going thru plugs every service (3000miles) and there were scrap not even good enough for running the lawn mower i was running Dyna Micro coils, 10mm thundervolt 50 leads, and either split fire (lasted 6000miles) or autolite plugs (3500miles)

Sissy Bar Install on a 2008 Screaming Eagle Dyna

Been a while since I've done one of these, but I believe you have to take the shocks loose at the fender struts and drop them down and out of the way. The signals should go back on in the same place, no relocation. On a couple of these I've had to get longer bolts for the signals, but it may not be required, so keep this in mind. And, yes, I know, it would be nice if HD would include the bolts or at least tell you about the possibility of needing longer bolts, I've said this to myself many times in the past.
