your best bet would be to find a frys electronics around where you live. They have a great selection of different cables for different devices. If that won't work just type in your camcorder model # on ebay and see what comes up. Good luck
The cable is a firwire 4-6 or 4-4 pin cable. Check your computer for the type of firewire socket it has. Most newer laptops have 4 pin.
These are available at most places that sell computer gear.
Try reversing the actions you made to see if you can restore operation of your capture program. And if you do, I would suggest that you do not reinstall in your computer the software for the still pictures since there is a conflict. Better still, If you have a system restore point dated before you introduced the still software, I would try that first . Good luck!
