How can i replace the speaker for a spongeboy 13 tv?

There is no way to enhance what is already on the set. You could use headphone via the audio output jack, or use powered speakers. The newer ones have HDMI, so theoretically you could connect a theatre style sound bar.

Check its speaker first. If voice coil of the speaker or tis cone paper has damaged, speaker will produce a dull low sound output. If the speaker is found OK, check the audio output section of the unit. This section circuits can be located inside the TV circuit board. look for any loose or bad soldering terminals at the audio output IC. It is best to resolder all the suspected solder points by applying a little more solder, withut making any solder bridge short in between adjecent solder terminals. If this also does not help you, replace the audio output IC. It is damaged. OK.

Getting the speakers probably won't be easy but as far as the remote goes maybe a place like Sears can order it for you since they sold these TV's as well as Kmart.

I just found the owner's manual online. I knew where mine was until the last move. There is a phone number on the back of it to call for parts and accessories. 1-800-321-6993
They are available every day from 9:30 amd until 5pm.
I am going to try tomorrow and hope to order speakers.

maybe the speaker has a loss contact with the circuit. this is what we called intermitent problem. or the speaker itself is heating and losses its contact with the ciruit.
