even the camera guys from whom I purchased my canon didn't realize this one;
there's a small button on the top left of this camera they don't indicate for downloading
pics; that's all!

Have you tried: www.camerasandparts.com I know they sell both the new and used lcd screen for the powershots so they may have the instructions. Try emailing them, it would be worth a shot. Best of luck.

This no power problem on the G7 is most often causes by a loose screw in the camera which shorts it out leaving the camera not powering on. That no power repair through them is $89 with parts / labor included, the servicing for the camera covered, plus the shipping going back is included.
