SOURCE: i have a monogram zisb36drb that leaks in the freezer compartment

This can be fixed.  It's not a defect at all.  The drain is plugged.  I will warn you these are a pain the butt to get into so I would reccomend an experienced repairman to do the job.  You can expect to pay about $200 for this repair due to labor time.  Would appreciate a solved rating for expert advice.

SOURCE: vegetable and meat draws freezing everything temp@16 deg. f.

Turn your thermostat down. If all the rest of the food was even 45 degrees, it would be okay. The vetable and meat drawers will always be colder, so you set the level for the rest of the fridge at what is tolerable.

SOURCE: Ice build up bottom of freezer and water on floor GE Monogram

I had the same problem. The drain tube is located below the pan below the fins at the rear of your freezer. The drain tube has a trap (s-shaped curve) to prevent air flow out of the freezer. The problem is that water gets in this tube and freezes. I took the sheet metal cover off the back, got a turkey baster and flexible tube, and continuously flushed hot water (after the freezer had been turned off around an hour to thaw). Eventually the plug gave way.

SOURCE: GE Monogram Built-in refrig has blocked evaporator drain.

You should be able to see the drain under the coil. Part 804 on this diagram. Your drain tube may be stopped up with ice at the upper end because it drains too slow because it's stopped up at the lower end in the evaporator pan under the unit at the floor. It can get dust and mold in it. Once you get the ice out at the top a little pressure with a turkey baster will usually clear it out. Flushing it out with hot water and clorox may help.
Make sure it drains quick enough to prevent refreezing.

My GE climate control drawer always has water in the pan . I wipe it out and when I return there is always water on the bottom.

Hi,

Which model do you have? Its easier to tell you when I can get the information of the unit. I can guess, obstructed drain to the evaporator in the fresh food section, or a leaking water tank, but not sure as all units are not built the same. Thanks

Kmonogram built in refrigerator, where is the evaporator coil and how to vacuum it.

Finding the evaporator will take disassembly of parts of the cover on the top of refrigerator. If you have other questions please let me know. Just be really careful to not damage the evaporator and unplug before working on your Monogram you need to find the evaporator coil to repair, replace parts or work in that area it is on top of the ZISS480NRSS and listed as part location #800 in the photo below. GE Monogram ZISW36DYA ... frozen ice-cycle rivulets run down both sides of freezer (water off for days to verify it is not ice maker) ... defrost control clicks when rotated and advances with time ... do...

Seems to me that might be a clogged defrost drain or maybe a dripping water valve. Doing that. I have the service manual with nice pictures in it that show clearly how to access the components.

Temperature control

The freezer is usually cooled by the compressor, the fridge is then cooled by an evaporator fan motor ($30). If this fan seizes or slows down then the fridge warms up (it sometimes starts squealing before this happens). The fan may spin, but it if goes too slowly, then it would blow enough cool air into the fridge, especially if it is opened quite frequently.

If you think it is the evaporator fan motor:
Check to be sure you can get a replacement fan first, they last about 4 - 5 years. Can get from a parts supplier or electric motor company.
UNPLUG fridge. Located usually in top of freezer behind a vented cover plate. Remove cover, remove screws holding fan in, may have to cut wires. Replace with new motor, make sure the fan pushes air into the freezer area and doesn't spin backward drawing air from the freezer area.
