This is your Multipurpose foot. I'm looking in the manual that accompanied by 2000 936, and 'm seeing it under accessories and again under Flatlock with multipurpose foot instructions. Unfortunately, the manual does not include the foot number.

The manual is useless for beginner trying to thread the machine - and the DVFD is not much better.

The first place to check is with your closest Husqvarna Viking dealer. Their web site has a dealer locator, put in your zip code and you'll see your closest dealer. That part may be no longer available because of the machines age, however, I think the Brother Company had a hand in making that for Husqvarna, so if your local dealer can't supply one for you, you might take the machine to a brother dealer and see if any of their pedals have the correct plug style. This will also occur if the "needles" and "loopers" lock up as though threads are tangled and binding the machine. If needles and loopers move freely when manually turning the handwheel counter clockwise, you probably need to take it to an authorized husqvarna viking dealer for service.
You can locate a dealer near you by visiting the husqvarna viking website and clicking on the Dealer link on the left-hand side of the page - http://www.husqvarnaviking.com
Good luck.
