Start up error message issue: floppy disk fail

TRY CLEAR CMOS IT CAN HELP.

When the PC cannot see a boot file/disk on either thehard disk or floppy drive it gives an error message "No bootable device. Insert boot disk and press anykey" First thing, check to see if the is a floppy disk inthe floppy drive, if so removes this disk. If there was no disk in the floppy drive then it maybe a hard disk problem.
Check the BIOS to see if the hard disk is detected, if not open the case andre-seat the data cable on the hard drive and also where it connects to themotherboard disk controller.
If it still gives this error message and the BIOS does not detect this harddrive, then the hard drive is probably faulty.
A further check on the hard drive, remove the hard drive and connect it to anUSB hard drive adapter and connect it to a working computer's USB port, if thiscomputer does not detect it as an external storage device then the hard driveis faulty.
To get the computer operating again, install a new hard drive in your computerand then install Windows on this hard drive plus the computer's devicedrivers and your programs.

The "floppy" disk-drive (3.5-inch diskette) on your computer is broken.
Press F1 to ignore the error, and to boot from your C: drive.
Or, press F2 to enter BIOS SETUP, and then navigate through those "setup" screens to tell the computer to "disable floppy seek", or change the setting from "3.5 1.44Mb drive" to "none".
Or, take the computer to a technician, and buy a replacement disk-drive, and get it installed.

take a window cd and just start setup till ur hard disk came for installation just restart pc there and check it again

Try this... Remove all cards, hard drive(s) and cables, such as cdrom and floppy, except the video connection so that you can see what is going on. Go to the bios setup. Set all of the bios settings to default as you exit to reboot. Then try again. By setting the bios, that should take care of it. Then replace the other items, cards one by one and watch the reactions.
Hope it works.

The hard drive in that PC is failing or has failed. The drive controller is failing or failed. The drive controller on the motherboard is failing or failed.

Too many possiblilities but you should get the drive looked at first.

And I would suggest not truning that PC on anymore until you do so

seems like a hard drive issue. (Unless you received an error message from the system during setup of 2k or XP)? (Also hope its a certified Window CD & not a copy).
Here are two ways to get around this. The fastest is to use a software program to clean the hard disk drive. Best software I have come across it Boot & Nuke. Download from this site; http://www.dban.org/download (Darik's Boot and Nuke 1.0.7 ).

On the other hand, its suggested you go to the hard disk drives manufactures web site & download their utility software which will allow you to create a bootable floppy disk too. Boot the system to the floppy. If there is an issue with the drive the floppy software will repair it. If there is a problem with either the MBR or FAT it will also fix it. You'll also be able to setup the type of file system, NTFS or FAT32, ECT. If you include the manufacture & model number of the 120GB drive I'll include the web site for downloading.

Hi nveronika,
First things first. Find the name of you're SATA hard disk drive.
Please go to the manufacture's web site & download the floppy drive setup/utilities bootable software or creat a bootable CD from the manufactures site. Boot the system with their software & setup you're hard disk drive which will run in a DOS like window. (This should resovle the blue screen issue).
There are two different revision for the motherboard GA-M52l-S3

Which is you're motherboard? Once you find the correct motherboard you can download the the needed software directly from the web site & create the correct floppy disk needed when pressing the F6 key during windows installation. If you still get an error message try another fresh floppy disk. (Corruption of files to a floppy usually mean the floppy drive is dirty or bad or the floppy disk is bad). It is also possible that the data cable to the floppy drive is loose or defective. Downloading directly from Gigabyte is suggested over using the CD.

Verify the boot options are properly set in BIOS, almost all BIOS setups should contain options specifying how your computer boots. For example, most computers should have their boot options setup similar to the below example.
- Floppy drive
- CD drive
- Hard drive

Rest your BIOS to default values. Many BIOS will enable users to reset the values to the default settings. If you've tried the above options without success try resetting the BIOS.
Hard disk drive does not have bootable files on it It is possible that command.com or another bootable file may be missing from the hard disk drive. Follow the below steps to possible resolve your issue.
Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows ME users
Boot from a bootable floppy diskette.
At the A:\> type fdisk <press enter>
If you receive a message no fixed disk present, read Hard Disk drive is bad or not connected ....
If you are able to get into fdisk, choose option 4 to display the partition information. In the partition information, if the System is listed as FAT16 or FAT32 then continue to step 5. If you have a message indicating no partitions defined, no information is on your hard disk drive and you will need to create a new partition. See our fdisk page for additional information.
If you see FAT16 or FAT32 in fdisk press the ESC key until back at the A:\>
Once at the A:\> type, sys c: <press enter> (only do this command if you are using the same operating system that this diskette was created on).
This should return a message 'System Transferred', if you receive bad command or file name and have verified you have typed the command properly, you will need to obtain a bootable diskette with the file sys.com on it.
If system was transferred successfully, reboot the computer and issue should be resolved.
Windows 2000 and Windows XP users
Boot from either your ERD, your bootable Windows CD, or your bootable restore CD.
Once boot attempt to repair Windows. If you're able to repair Windows remove the disks and reboot the computer.
All users
If your operating system is not listed above or the above steps did not resolve your issue you can also try erasing the hard disk drive and starting over.The hard disk drive is bad or not connected properly
If you have attempted all above suggestions and you are still encountering the same issues, verify the connections are properly connected to the computer if the hard drive was recently installed or the computer was moved.
Unfortunately, if all connections are setup properly and all the above recommendations have been attempted, it is likely that the hard disk drive is bad and it will need to be replaced.
