I pod nano syncing with windows vista insert disc

If using iTunes for this. Remove Itunes and re-install. You shouldn't be asked for a disk OR
If you can get to another pc with iTunes first disable the sync feature and then insert the the iPod. If it is recognized then use first tip.

I lost the disc to load i-pod on to computer can not locate the site to go to download

You can go to this site to get the software that loads up the ipod called itunes where you can put music on it and other stuff: http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you already have the itunes software, you may just need it to be updated to work with your ipod.

I pod wont connect to itunes

Try another computer just for the kicks of it and see if does the same. Your computer has this little program deep down call iTunes helper that's suppose to link the USB iPod to iTunes. If it's not working right nothing will happen when connected. If the iPod works on another machine, iTunes helper is the problem or also even bad USB port could be the problem. Send me an update and I'll keep helping you troubleshoot. - Scotty

How to setup my ipod nano

it sounds like you might need to change some of the itunes settings. you open itunes and plug your pod in and see if it shows up on the left side of the window in with the playlists. if it doesn't then there is an interface problem which could be something as simple as the cable. if it does show up, then you click on that icon and you can change your pod settings.

I pod nano

If you received the Nano 2nd Generation (which is the newer one), then your unit does not include any installation CDs. However, all you need to get it up and running is to download iTunes 7 or above. Which is AVAILABLE HERE.

Have Fun!
