Lost remote control for an emerson tv. how do you change input from channel to video without the remote?

Using the channel buttons use the down button to get to channel 2, if you keep pushing the down button it will take you to the HDMI, AV ect inputs

Few, if any, modern TVs provide the option to access menus without a full function remote control - that excludes the majority of universal remotes...

i too have an emerson television on your tv there should be a button that says input just click it to the setting you need

Tries the channels + or - buttons a couples times on the tv manual controls buttons on the tv.U will get in the input option.This solution work for many tvs don't the input option on their universal remotes,without the original remotes.Ur tv don't know.

Go to channel 3 and press the channel button down. It should only take 2-4 times to get to that channel. Hope this helps. Let me know if I can help you further.

I just purchased one of these televisions and it didn't come with a remote. However, a Philips Universal Remote (SRU2103/27)
with a code 0520 works fine. I haven't explored all the codes but I can easily change from tv stations to Video 1 and Video 2 merely by pressing the "Input" button on the remote. Another reply mentioned using a duraband model instead of Emerson and it worked for him.

Actually I found there are several remotes that work. The first is the Bright House networks remote, the larger one...The second is The Universal Remove Control by GE. It's numbered 24944 in the upper right hand corner of the paper. It's sold for $4.94 at Walmart in the checkout area...

I found that manually inputting the code for the remote doesn't work. You have to do a search for the code using their method...on this particular remote from Walmart, its hold the setup button down until it lights up, then press and depress the TV button...then press channel up until the TV changes channels. It worked once, but I just kept going, the 2nd time it worked, then I pressed the mute button [to keep the code] and it works...you simply press input and it switches to AV.

I have to admit I thought it was ridiculous that you can't use this particular TV without the remote, but I was happy that I went through the effort the first time to keep trying remotes...

This is the first kids TV that I have found that you can't find the AV channel by going through the channels AND you can't hook up two items to the AV outlets because you have to disconnect the back or front ones, to use the other....PLUS it only comes with a dual AV outlet, instead of the 3 plugs [red, white, yellow] only has the white and yellow.

A disappointing TV to say the least.

My answer will be generic.

With many of these TV sets the original factory remote is required to change the input mode of the set, or to access any of the user menus.

On some models of sets, putting the channel selection down to below channel 2, puts the TV in to the external input modes.

Hi, I brought a EmersonTV model EWF2004 without a remote control and I can't find the AV channel to watch DVD's I hope you can help me

found the answer but it doesnt help.......i got the number to who makes RCA remote controls and called them and talked to tech support to see what i could do for this problem. According to them, some universal remotes are compatible with most tvs but sometimes the remote can only give you the basic functions (chan up/down, volume up/down, #'s, mute an so on.) i dont really understand why it wouldnt work for the input channel but i do know i have a lower end and low priced tv. so....just like everything else the more you pay...the better it is. I checked the remote on my other tv in the living room and everything works just fine, even the input button. Hope this helps...
