Quasar tv/vcr I have a Quasar with out a remote. I bought a unversal remote , but i can not get it to scan the channnels for cable. I looked for the menu button to manual channel search ...but can not find a menu button? where is it on the tv?

bought several Universal remotes cant get ANY of them to work with the TV or the VCR, i cant even get the TV to work or scan channels just regularly, at this point it is a worthless TV/VCR, any suggestions will help

I have entered all three codes that the Comcast booklet gave me for my universal remote (0250,0051,0165), and none of them work. This TV is so old and unpopular that I could sit here for days alternating 'TV' and 'Power' just to scan the codes from most popular to least. This TV is a nightmare for me. I have a Quasar v v 2020 model tv...it is a tv/vcr combo. The tv did not come with a remote. I have tried several universals but everytime I get one to work it will turn the tv and vcr both off but will not change channels. All I am wanting to do is program my cable channels into this tv.
