If the ice room is not getting/staying cold enough, the unit will not harvest the ice and proceed through the cycle... First step in troubleshooting is to determine if the compartment the icemaker sits in is cold enough, if it is, then you have to test the ice room temp. sensor to see if it is not sending the correct temp signal to the main board. Does the freezer get cold? Any cooling? There could be a number of things. Biggest problem is this machine is not worth fixing. The amount of energy it uses monthly is probably 1.5 times what a new one uses in a whole year. Technology has changed greatly in the last 42 years. Recycle your old one. Some utilities, like the one in my area, will pay you to replace it!!

Will stop on it's own when it get cold again, but most generally have a manual alarm shut off (on back, near hinge on older models).

you cannot find replacement parts for you unit, unless they are used. you can get a replacement compressor or probes.

pull the plug and let it defrost. ck the drain for water. it maybe pluged. after 2 to 4 hrs. plug it back in and set the temp. to -10 degrees f . fill small dish or bowl with water and see how long it take to freez. if it takes longer then 4 hrs you may need freon or have a compreesor problem, or defrost timer .

I doubt it since montgomery ward was bought out by maytag a long time ago, and now maytag got bought out by whirlpool.

Don't know three in one is, capacitor?
The compressor has oil in it. If the unit is layed on its side, compressor oil can leak out into the refrigeration tubing. This can cause a refrigeration circuit clog. Leaving the unit disconnected, upright, for a few days, sometimes fixes this oil clog.
If it sprung a refrigeration leak, it's another story, it needs a service tec looking for a leak. Then repairs, just chuck it or invest in this nice unit on repairs.
If compressor and fan blowers all run and work, the electric portion is good, compressor line gets hot, the other one cold.

Find the model number which is usually on the back , and call appliance part places .
