When we try to turn on our tv. Then light is blinking on the front of it without a picture. It was working before. The light on in the livingroom flickers also when you try to turn it on. I just bought it off craigslist so I am hoping it is not anything too big.

are any lights lit up when it shuts down? If so which light what color is it and is it blinking or a just stays lit without blinking?

My Mitsubishi TV power light comes for about 12 seconds, without any picture, and turns off.

Try the self check when power light goes off, on front press and hold both the menu and input buttons for at least 5 seconds and let both go.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks,2blinks, pause and repeat it several times.

What error code do you find?

TV works fine for about 3 minutes then the picture goes black and the red light on the front of the TV starts blinking. The sound works the entire time. If I shutdown the TV and wait a few minutes and...

The light is blinking a code. The code will be a series of blinks, a pause and the blinks again. Phone Sony service and give them this code. They will be able to advise you as to the problem.

WS-55517 Mitsubishi Rear HDTV projection tv will not turn on

2 blinks followed by 1 blink is the X-Ray protection-----means some problem in the High voltage circuit ---set produces over 25 thousand volts to fire the 3 picture tubes inside up----It could be excessive high voltage-------I think you would have to get lucky for someone to find and fix it in your home----more likely it will need a visit to a Repair shop.

Blinking powerlight on front when i try to turn on tv

This is more likely a power supply failure. Most causes of tv failure are due to bad capacitors on either a system board or the power supply. In this case, it sounds like the power supply. You can test the capacitors with a capacitor tester to determine faulty capacitor. You can also test other components like power supply current with voltmeter or mulit-tester.

Did you try unpluge from the wall, and repluging back after 10 min.
Also run the self diagnosis by pushing the menu and device buttons on the front and let me know the code?

Blinking STANDBY Light front of Television

Hii...
Refere to Sony Blinking Codes :
5 Blinks ===> cause AKB circuit (AKB). Something is wrong with the video. check components on the C board, also check the A board. Also unit be in IK blanking, try turning up screen slightly.

TV doesn't turn on

You really should give make & model number when posting, it helps us immensely, your lamp and possibly the ballast is bad, start with a new lamp first, odds are very good that it will fix your problem, can`t help more without manufacturer and model number, good luck, ps, order the original lamp, generics are junk and a waste of your money.

Am I understanding this right, the light in the living room, like ceiling light or a light hooked to an outlet flickers when you try to turn the TV on?

SOURCE: Akai LCT2701TD Won't turn on. Red light in front blinks.

There is a high power supply failure rate on these LCDs. The power boards are not longer being manufactured or not easy to find.

took out power supply and found 8 caps that where swollen on top and most had brown goo coming out of the + on top caps,Know i need to figure out how to buy replacements and learn how to take out and replace them. I have never done this before. thanks Lamakai
