Install Windows 7 and graphics won't display properly
SOURCE: need graphic driver for dell model 02x378 pc
Download the Video driver from Dell's website, Enter your service tag number (which it on a label located on the back of the unit) in the second line on this page. It will bring up the correct driver for your unit.

SOURCE: Windows XP CD cannot be detected in Dell Optiplex gx260
Your optical drive might be dirty or bad. Try an official Dell disk to see if it will read it, especially a Dell drivers and Utilities disk. Also try a boot flash drive or boot floppy(since your system is a older) to get the system up. If your system comes up any of those ways, I would try a disk cleaner. If that doesn't help, then you probably have a bad cd drive. You could also look in bios setup to make sure the bios is showing your cd drive. It should list it there somewhere. Probably on the first page.

Unfortunately, Dell doesn't support Windows 7 for the OptiPlex GX260. You could try an older driver and see if it will work, but you can't get any Windows 7 drivers for the GX260. (At least not yet.)
You can view a list of Dell computers that are Windows 7-compatible here:

SOURCE: Can not install video driver
This has a nice board and your video board is possibly AGP type.
Find the manufacturer of the VGA board and download the appropriate driver if available for XP.
I hope this helps.
THis link may help.
