I've had problems with the sluggish remote control for this TV; since this is caused by poor manufacture (releasing un-optimized or badly written firmware), I no longer trust the Sony brand. I'm now in the market for a new 26-32 inch LED TV. I need to plug in a computer as well so needs a D-Sub connector with 1366x768 resolution or higher. Are Samsung TVs generally more reliable and can you recommend a suitable model ? Many thanks, Paul.

Remote sensor seems bad in your KDL-40D3000 that will be replaced because it is unable to receive remote infra red signals and remote has been tested on other tv and found good.
Please replace remote sensor in tv to get it fixed, local tech will help you to solve this problem.
