Sylvania lc420ss8 no light no power

These blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes).From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it.This will make repair easy.These are called blinking codes. Seems like capacitor problem, chack them and if thay have exploded replace them.

The power supply may have gone out, you need to check the main AC fuse in the power supply module and also check the caps.

Pick one, buy, replace and see what happens.

I am not anyhow associated with the seller, that was just what eBay gave me.

Of course if you're handy with a DMM you shouldn't need that...but this is the fastest and relatively cheap, considering you can always re-sell the board, way to check.

That is most likely a power supply problem. Check/replace the fuse as needed and try replacing the diodes that form a full bridge rectifier.

Simply unplug the set, let it sit for a minute or so, then plug it back in and turn it on. I had a similar problem with the same TV and it is working fine now.
