One of two problems could be causing this problem...... First problem can be that the switch that you push on to dispense water or ice is sticking. The second problem that could be is the water solenoid that comes on and should close off fully is sticking open and allowing water to drip and not shut off completely. This is usually caused when the plunger in the solenoid starts to stick due to calcium deposits that has built up on it after time and if the water dispense system is not used that often. If you're not technically inclined, make sure that the repair person does not tell you anything that does not fit the descriptions that I have mentioned above. Hope this helps.
The dispenser has a
dual water control valves that control ice maker water and dispenser water. To
find your parts you will need your refrigerators model number most time found
around the fresh food sections door. Below I have a tutorial that may help you
determine what may be the problem with dispensing water. Hope this helps,
Thanks Sea Breeze
Then I would assume that the micro switch that you press
for water is defective and sticking. I am placing a=> 242100001 Dispenser
Module to give you an idea to what I am talking about but if you have a model
number for your Electrolux refrigerator I may could find a micro-switch that is
replaceable, Thanks Sea Breeze
