Toshiba 47HL167 has bad HDMI 3 channel, all else is good

You have a shorted circuit board.

In most cases, the main board might have to be replaced. If so, a software [firmware] update too might be necessary.

Does it only happen with this set up for instance if you plug in a DVD player does that work .?

Well that depends what type of connection you used. CH 3 or 4 if you used a screw on RF cable and if you used a 3 connection of red white yellow then you would use input switch and if you used a HDMI connector then use HDMI choice'

Good question.. I have to plug in the Wii to play it, then unplug it to use the dvd player. Such a hassel.

there are 3 ways you can hook up your pc to this tv. VGA, 15 pin D-Sub PC Input and DVI convert to HDMI. when using the DVI convert to HDMI, you will also need to hook up an analog audio to get sound since DVI only put out video output.

Your Cable box might need to be reprogrammed. Call the cable company and they will drive you thru the steps to program it, this way you will get the channels. This process might take you 30-45 minutes.
