Unlikely you can, they work with electric motors, helical gears and cogs to make the movement. Just order the parts after you diagnose the problem.

Most recliners the heads rest will come off if you look on towards the back it should be a flat fabric if it stapled pulled it off I should be velcroed if anything there's two clipse on each side of metal brackets put screwdriver where the clips are and push up

On Lazyboy products you can pull up on the seat back and it will come apart, so you might try pulling this out from the wall, get behind it, grasp one section one either side and pull straight up.

Look where the control button is it should be a little space to where you can stick a needle or nail in that the reset button I want you reset it then you should be able to get to a recliner to go back down

Try looking next to your seat cover and the arm rest for a little pull handle. If it is a pushback recline model tried looking to see if the shipping ties are untied underneath. Or try simply pushing back while you're sitting in it with your shoulders.

Most recliners have clips you simply lift up and the cushion lifts off. They are uprights on both sides of the back cushion. They may also be attached by 4-1/4" x 1" bolts too.

Most outdoor furniture is made to withstand most weather conditions but it will eventually fade in extreme sun. The best way to prevent signs of fading is to use a sun shade or cover the furniture when not in use .
