Why won't my scooter freewheel?

If the brake release lever is not working by this I mean the lever will not move the release position, this could be a case of the brake mechanism has seized up due to water or that sand and grit has got in the brake jamming it. Try a spray of WD40 on the bake lever mechanism and work the lever back and forth. Failing that brake will need to be replaced.

Troubleshooting code beeps 9 times. battery is charged and the unit is not hot.

hi, okay that a system controller fault however it can also be a loose connection around the controller area, removing the connectors that go into the controller has worked for me, if not it's normally a resistor network inside the controller. I offer a free testing and repair service ... Regards Rob www.gewizrepairs.co.uk

Tried pulling on battery cover and it won't come off. How much force is needed, as I'm afraid to break it?

While pulling up on the cover, gently press on the battery box sides to determine if detents are holding the cover on. One a detent is pressed away, the cover should come up. Ensure no connectors are holding the pieces of the battery box together.

My gogo ultra is showing fully charged and horn beeps, when i put key in it beeps fast 10 times and 5 beeps after

5 beeps usually means scooter is out of gear, but since the lever is in the drive position and the scooter gearbox/differential is engaged, it seems that the controller is not sensing the gear change. Possibly a faulty micro switch in the motor housing can be the cause of this, usually the micro switch is pressed down by the drive lever and if the switch is pressed down the motor controller knows the scooter is in gear.

Scooter beeping

Six beeps would say it is the throttle pot not in its centre off position or the pot needs replacing. Is the wig wag lever loose by this I mean the lever is wobbly and moves up and down a fair bit. This would indicate its had its day. Have you had speed issues before this problem as this is normally the case before they go wrong altogether.

I have a pride go go ultra x scooter... I purchased it, and it had no top dash at all... I put a new throttle pot, and a whole new dash assembly... It runs great... Then I turn the speed pot to fast

7 flash code is: Throttle control fault. 1. Check wiring for open/short circuits. 2. Check the throttle set-up.... The ohms should be very close to each other when placed checking forward and reverse on set up.

Scooter beeps but will not go

Make sure it is placed in gear, sounds like it is in the Neutral free wheel position. If the scooter moves easy when you push it, it's just in free wheel.

Wiring diagram on a gogo scooter

The wiring interconnects on these scooter are all modular and the blow up assembly diagrams are all you need to trace the wiring and replace components. Aside from a dealer log in to the manufacturer's website you can go to southwest medical's website and get all the information on the wiring and parts. Hope this helps. Go go ultra

hi, okay if it's the loading effect on the batteries, not a loose connection, then look at the speed pot, when it slows down try pushing the lever upwards or downwards, improves then the pot needs replacing , this is a simple test to see whether the tracks within the pots are worn... How to take appart the rear section

9 flash code usually happens when the battery connection is interrupted while the key switch is turned on. On Go Go Ultra series, there is a spring loaded terminal post that the battery box sits on to make the connection. Sometimes as this spring wears out, the connection will be interrupted then reconnect again while driving causing the 9 flash code. try putting a nickel on each of these battery connections underneath the battery box and see if that fixes the problem. If you do need to take the shroud off, flip on it's side, there are 4 small bolts that bolt the shroud to the frame from the bottom side. they're easily visible. Hope this helps.
