I am sorry but there is no way to replace just the three broken pins. You can replace the entire vga plug but it requires stripping down each individual wire and soildering a new one on. You can pick up a 15 inche monitor for next to nothing. Try ebay.com you can get a nice flatscreen for a good price. I am sorry.I wish you all the luck in the world.

SOURCE: Viewsonic VG2021m monitor no longer showing a picture

Hi!
there are possible reasons why your monitor shows nothing on your screen...

First, you need to check if the power cable of your monitor is well connected to a wall socket or AVR (and that you are sure there is supply output current on the AVR or in the wall outlet)

IF found that power cable is fix and secure... my suggestion is you bring the monitor to a credible technician...Because the possible reason why only black is seen on your screen, is because the backlight inverter could be busted already.. the backlight inverter which is located on the upper and lower back edge of the monitor is the light source responsible for giving image display of your lcd monitor.. Another reason could be is a deffective high voltage ballast transformer which is responsible for generating high votlage supply for the backlight....

It is too risky for you to do the repair by yourself without proper knowledge and right tools to do this.. So don't waste time consult a technician and or possible avail of the warranty if there is any...

Hope it is clear now to you..

Much appreciated if you rate this help.. thanks..

SOURCE: LCD monitor (viewsonic va720) "No signal"

Some Laptops or PCs will only work with a 2nd Screen or monitor option on LCD, :Projectors or TV screens.

On Display/.settings/ on PC you can select 2nd monitor option and apply.

U should see your LCD screen flicker and displays your PC 2nd screen

Why is my screen "snowy pink" when plugged into the dvi of my Viewsonic from my computer,

This is usually caused by a cable not completely plugged in on either end - computer or monitor. I would check that 1st. If not, try a different cable, that would be the 2nd choice.

Monitor problems

Do you have embedded video or add in card? Look on the back of the computer and see if there is more that one connection for your monitor cable, and if so, try the other one. Also, check to see if the cable is fully plugged in on both the monitor and computer and that no "pins" are bent in the cable end. Last check to see if the monitor has be set to a different input. Sometimes its just easier to unplug the monitor for a couple of minutes then plug it back in so it resets to default settings. Can you try the monitor on another computer to verify that it works. Last, try to boot the computer in Safe Mode and see if the monitor displays then. If it works in safe mode, the problem is more than likely driver related so updating sysem files and drivers should correct it. If the monitor works and you are confident that the problem lies in the computer, you can install a video card in an available slot inside the computer.

I was given a ViewSonic 520 by my father, but he couldn't find the power cord or USB cable. What do I need, and where in my area can I get them? David Hart Fort Worth, Texas 76119

You don't need a USB cable to plug in the monitor. The VA520 requires a standard power cable, available at any electronics or computer store. Same one used for a computer power supply.

Hi , I own a viewsonic LCD monitor model va1912w. My system has Windows XP. There is no sound from the monitor even after connecting the sound cable from CPU to monitor's audio jack. I have already...

http://www.viewsonic.com/support/downloads/drivers/?prod_name=1912

Try the above link for Vista or XP drivers which may be used with Windows 7 in some cases.

The va1912wb came up when I searched under 1912.

This driver is available directly from the viewsonic.com site.

Uninstall the other driver if possible.

VS10162 back screen

The reason I ask you to hook up the viewsonic directly to the PC is to find out if the problem is in the USB adapter or in the monitor itself, you can also try your Viewsonic with other computer.
Basically just have the PC, VIEWSONIC, NO USB or the monitor. We need to narrow down the problem.

LCD monitor (viewsonic va720) "No signal"

You will need to disconnect the VGA cord that is connecting the monitor to the hard drive. Once you have that disconnected, try attaching another cord to determine if the cord is the issue. If you dont have another cord to test, then you will have to purchase another one from your local computer parts store and attach to determine if that is the issue you are having.

If the cord does not work, then you will have to take your monitor into a repair shop as there maybe an issue with the receiving port on the monitor.

I hope this was helpful and thanks for asking the experts.
