If the problem is with the Shure wireless, you'll need to send it back to Shure (www.shure.com/service). If the problem is with the Crown headset, you'll need to send that back to Crown.

How do I rewire my crown cm311a mic from mic to belt pack?

It looks like a mini XLR connection at the belt pack end, so that's easy. The cable goes to a connector block which looks like it is held together with two screws. Again, that should be fairly straightforward.

The other side of the block is the cable that goes up to the head set and boom mic. This looks a little trickier for a novice just because the mic capsule is small; the cable runs through a narrow diameter tube, and the cable routing involves heatshrink.

At a guess I'd say that the foam windshield will come off. There'll be a grub screw holding the collar in place.

Personally, I'd use a meter on continuity setting, upen up the XLR and connectors block, and test the two signal lines (pins 2 and 3 in the XLR) for a break. Fingers crossed it is in that section. Then replace that cable.

If it is in the boom arm section, and you feel confident dealing with threading the cable and using heat shrink then have a go. If not, take it to a Tech to avoid the risk of wrecking a great mic.

My Rode NT1a stopped working. I checked preamps

Repair of this mic is not something you can do yourself. This sort of failure is common, and I can repair it.

M.2n68-cm repair will not boot

Hello you can download the manual here:

http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/AMD_AM2Plus/M2N68CM/#download

By selecting your windows system.
Open the manual folder and click on global for download.
You need to unzip the file and you also need adobe reader to read the content.
If the problem happened just over night the power supply could be dead.
Any beeb codes on startup ??
The ram module or the harddrive could also be failing.
These type of faults is not always the mainboard.

Good luck

I have a two yr. old 55sh series 2 that just quit working. Looking inside the on/off switch cover, there are no loose wires. What to do next?

If you do not have experience in repairing these mics, you should probably have a pro audio technician do the work. The problem is an open circuit in microphone's internal wiring; either the mic cartridge is dead, or one or more of the fine wires connecting it to the microphone output connector are disconnected. Sometimes the fault is caused by a bad solder connection, or a faulty switch. As I mentioned, unless you have experience with these items, you can permanently damage a potentially salvageable mic. A goos tech should be able to identify the problem in a few minutes, and if the mic is repairable, it should be a cheap fix. Worst case scenario, a dead cartridge replacement may cost half the price of a new mic. But then, it's essentially a new mic.

I want to know what brand of microphone to buy

It is the same mic. The singer's sound technicians just removed the mic from the crown headset and put it on a headset custom made to the singers head. This way it holds up more to the dancing and it is less complicated to put on.

It's not really a problem but a question on a microphone I would like to buy. I have a CM-311A headset but it's uncomfortable. There's another microphone out there that is similar to it except there is not...

There are numerous headset mics. Most feed into a bodypack the singer wears, which can be wired or wireless. It has the batteries required for phantom power, etc.  See what kind of a plug is on your existing mic. Probably a mini-xlr. You should be able to use any mnini-xlr mic with your rig. Go to your music store with your old mic and ask to see and try on other models. If the plugs are the same, the mics should be inter-changeable.
