We have replaced the lamp unit, just as our manual recommended for our tv, because there was no picture, only audio,, but we still have the same problem. Sometimes we get a picture and some times we don't the lamp unit was replaced once again and still the same problem. If someone has any idea of what it could be and how to fix it, we would greatly appreciate it, since the people at toshiba don't seem to have an answer. I have replaced my lamp 2 times in the last 3 yrs. I just purchased one 3 weeks ago and it blew again today! I have no idea what is causing this to happen. My tv is only 3 yrs old. I have a comcast HD box. I just had them come out to replace the with a new box and wires thinking I may have a boad box...I am waiting for another replacement lamp....HELP!!

This is a solution when the tv is in the tech bench, In the regular menu is nothing what to do.
The tv is suspicious of two symptoms:
a) the ballast (power supply to the lamp)
b) a pulse coming from optical block is intermittent has to be checked this pulse keeps the power supply (ballast) on.
As i say this solution is in the technician bench. Ask for an estimate on it
