How to connect to router wirelessly...

Do you have a wireless router that is connected to the Internet via a DSL or cable modem?
Is the wireless driver installed and working on the Acer Aspire laptop?
IF not then install the wireless driver.
Download the wireless and device drivers from the Acer WEB site. Make sure you select the model of your laptop the drivers you that require that matches the Windows version that is installed on your laptop. Use this link to get to the Acer support: -

Connecting to wireless signal is not the same as connecting to the internet. Verify the wireless router itself is connected. Your internet provider may be off line.

The wireless card in the notebook needs to be configured with the Netgear's wireless settings ie. SSID, WPA encryption etc.

try to reinstall your wifi software.,, here's a list of acer aspire model and driver..,, you didn't put your acer model,, try to search it for your self

hey , i couldnt connect to my wireless , your problem could be you dont have a wireless hard drive in your laptop , even tho it says you do. My first laptop had to go back because it wasnot connecting to the internet witch turns out i didnt have a wireless hard drive in it :) . then again that might not be the case , you have to get a certain wireless box (router) the best one to get for a laptop is netgear ! hope this information helps you.

Hi the router has not picked up your IP address.follow this Turn off your wireless router and internet connection and your laptop aswell for 30secs .Then first turn on your internet (if seperate from the router) if not switch on the wireless router/internet hub and wait untill the lights stop flashing then switch on your laptop and that should work.

1. What is the model of the router you have? Can you check the IP address that your laptop is obtaining? Make sure that the TCP/IP setting of wireless is set to automatic.
2. Try pinging yahoo.com and see if that will give you reply.
start>run>cmd>ping yahoo.com
then press enter
3. Are there any other wireless device connected to your network?
4. Have you tried connecting your laptop in a different wireless network?

netsh int ip reset reset.log
netsh winsock reset catalog
Reboot

try to change position of your wireless router it will work.
