EO F2 on our Kenmore oven keeps coming up.

Try pressing the CANCEL button to see if this clears it otherwise you will need a replacement touchpad.

the dreaded F2-EO code appears when the keypad has shorted out and needs to be replaced this is also known as the electronic range controle tis costs about 180 dollars and if the controle board need to be replaced this is about 250 dollars so if you can i would have both of them tested out before you spend your money on somethng you really dont need if you have the warranty you can use it to have it tested ok

Hello-  The code indicated-  F2 E0,  is an indicated fault in the touchpad, usually in one of the switches, but sometimes in the connection between them. Onsite diagnostics are required to see which component is affected. If fault does not clear after hitting cancel, then service is required. Same thing happened to our Kenmore range and I found a solution on the web about fixing this problem on a fridgedaire range. It was to hold down the clock button for an extended time ~15 sec. It worked for our kenmore and hopefully for yours too.

1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

EO-F2
Is a poorly connected keypad ribbon.
Remove the front panel and unplu, then re-insert the keypad ribbon in the control.

The solution was to hold down the "start" button for five seconds, which reset the system. I figured out that I had entered the model number of my oven wrong (mistaking a "Z" for a "2"). When I re-entered the correct model number in the "search for manual" section of the Whirlpool site, I was able to access the user manual and find the section that walked me through the correction.

I used the self cleaning mode for 2 hours and the error f2 keeps flashing and beeping, I did try to power off with the breaker and left it off for about a half hour and it still continues to beep and flash f2, what should I do?
