Sure.. the 654 is an MCU communication error, so the MCU card is
probably bad (it's located near the front left side of the printer,
under the operator panel). If the MCU is good, the controller card is
the 2nd most likely suspect.

The least expensive way to fix the problem would be to purchase a used
Infoprint 21 with a bad fuser (one that is posting a 454 error), and
put your good fuser in that IP 21. Then make sure that the controller
card in your IP 21 is good by swapping it in the operational printer,
and sell the good controller card -- you might come out a few dollars
ahead in the end.

IBM Infoprint 1532 giving error code 922.14 -service fuser error

There is a heater control problem in the fuser.
The fuser is the assembly of heated rollers in the rear of the device.
The most likely cause is either a blown heater element, or perhaps a faulty temperature sensor.
Usually we fit an exchange fuser assemblt to fix this.

925 service fuser error

A 925 Fuser Error indicates that the wrong fuser lamp or the incorrect fuser assembly is installed.
  1. If this error appears shortly after the fuser unit in the printer is replaced, put the old fuser unit back in.
If the error message goes away with the old fuser unit, please check that the new fuser unit is the correct one for this printer model.
  2. If the printer has not recently had its fuser replaced, plug the printer directly into a wall outlet. Surge protectors and power strips can sometimes regulate the voltage to a fault for the printer. If the printer is already on a wall outlet, plugging the printer into a different outlet may solve the problem. Keep in mind that there is no need to have the printer connected to a computer during testing for a fuser error as any pages to test the functionality of the printer can be processed internally.
  3. If you have tried the printer on other wall outlets and the 925 Fuser Error still appears, the printer will require service to clear the message.

Infoprint 1634 repeatedly jams

It may be time to replace the Fuser.

There is no certified way to repair a Fuser with purchasable parts, the assembly it self must be replaced.

Fuser error on my ibm infoprint color 1464

The error is Fuser cam position not found. Have you tried reseating the fuser? Does the fuser make any loud sounds? Based on the error message, it could either be the fuser, or the system board.

IBM InfoPrint 1612 Repeatedly erroring - Paper Jam

Check the FUSER, I think your exit sensor is bad.
If you open the rear door, look inside where the paper starts to come out of the printer, you should see a small lever that triggers the PAPER EXIT sensor. It might be hard to see. If it is not broken, you need a new FUSER.
