If you have dropped it or hit it on anything it may be the LCD screen cracked which is basically the touch screen it may respond to touch but that doesn't mean there isn't an internal crack

Its dying...as a last resort make sure no magnetic devices such as speakers are near it and look for a reset function...if you can get into settings try turning it off and then turn it on and try again.

My flat screen hd sharp aquos color turns green when we are watching it. it is only 3 three years old. what can this be? thanks

I'm not sure if this is the same, but people were green no matter how i adjusted the tint, and lacked overall color. I doubled checked the component cables, taking each one out, and putting it back firmly,
Picture is back to normal. Easy fix.

Double picture and colors are neon green and pink

Your TV most likely has fone of two possible problems.

Problem #1 - Failure in the convergence circuits. ( common problem )

Here are some of the most common symptoms and example photos of a convergence problem

  • Screen looks 3D
  • Colors don't line up
  • One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
  • Screen is bowed or warped.
Here are some photos of convergence problems.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

0667c5f.pngSOLUTION

You will need to replace the convergence chips and possibly some convergence resistors and pico fuses. Its a fairly easy DIY job or you can call in a pro. If you want to do the repair yourself check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. Their kits include a photo instruction guide, original OEM Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, pico fuses, thermal paste, email/phone support, etc.

Problem #2 CRT Fluid is Cloudy

Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos around images.

Picture of a set that needs the fluid changed. Notice how dull the colors are and how white the screen looks. The screen may also look red, orange, dull, etc.

TV set after fluid change. Notice how bright the colors are now. Everthing looks crisp and sharp again.

What you will need to do is replace the coolant and clean the crt. You can get a repair kit from www.TvRepairKits.com that includes replacement coolant, photos. instructions, etc.

Inspiron 1521 green screen problem

Either the lcd cable is loose on the inverter board, the lcd cable is going bad, or the inverter is going bad. Usually this can be fixed by removing the power button bezel and making sure all the cables are seated properly on their connection. Removing the power button bezel varies from laptop to laptop, sometimes there are screws on the bottom of the laptop that you need to remove and sometimes there are not, it just snaps into place.

Thanks and please take a moment to rate as fixya.

Panasonic PT-61LCX65 61 -- Neon Yellow Lines

I called Panasonic and they are sending a repairman. My TV is 3 years old. They said they'd cover the repair as a one-time in-warranty even though it is out of warranty because they've been having problems with this model. Don't do like me and try to live with the problem.

Good luck to all that have this problem.
