Sounds like a power board issue? Dry joints on the main board? Capacitors may have issues.? I would not go opening up the TV if you are not aware of the potential dangers.
Most a likely a problem with your Y-Sustain board which will then not drive the screen giving a black picture. The fuse on the board may be open circuit & need replaced but most likely you will need to have the sustain board replaced.
Both remotes are operating on the same frequency - usually you would think that having two products of same manufacturer would be a good idea, but in this case, the remotes interfere with each other.
