My Pyle PT694BT receiver plays video, but plays static when connected to Apple TV 4K.

There are a few possible reasons why your Pyle PT694BT receiver is playing static when connected to your Apple TV 4K. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take:

  1. Check the cables: Make sure that all the cables are properly connected and in good condition. Sometimes, a loose or damaged cable can cause static or no signal.
  2. Check the settings: Ensure that the settings on your receiver are configured to accept the correct input from your Apple TV 4K. Check the user manual of your receiver for specific instructions.
  3. Update the firmware: If your receiver has outdated firmware, it may not be compatible with your Apple TV 4K. Check the Pyle website for firmware updates and follow the instructions carefully to install the latest version.
  4. Try a different HDMI port: Sometimes, the HDMI port you are using on your receiver may be faulty. Try connecting your Apple TV 4K to a different HDMI port on your receiver to see if that resolves the issue.
  5. Test with a different device: If the problem persists, try connecting a different device to your receiver using the same cable and HDMI port to see if the issue is with your Apple TV 4K or your receiver.

No sound. Lights up

Try this instead, when you look at the back of the receiver, try and jiggle each chord connected, just to see if one might be loose.

IF NOT -- try and make sure the settings on your tv is correct, most receiver boxes use and HDMI cable for video and ausio as a dual connection so if the HDMI settings in your internal settings are off, you might need to update the settings and then it should work

How do I get tv audio out of my surround sound HT3550U. I have HDMI cable in and function turned on TV audio. I also have LG TV. Any Ideas ???

What is the TV source?

If you have a coax (antenna or some cable systems) to the TV, then you need to connect the surround sound system to the audio out of the TV. Depending on the TV, the output could include Digital audio, RCA audio (red/white) or a headphone jack. Without knowing which LG TV model, I can't be sure which ones you have. Get the best cable for your TV/receiver system and connect that. Then set the TV to use the external speakers.

If the source is a set-top box, then the cables should run HDMI from the box HDMI out to the receiver HDMI in and then from the HDMI out of the receiver to the HDMI in on the TV. (Most TVs do not have HDMI out.) If the unit still doesn't play the audio, first try new cables and make sure the correct source is selected (some receivers have multiple HDMI in). Make sure the speaker cables are all connected (if they have separate connections) and that everything has power. (One of the usual speaker system problems in my house is loose cables from someone knocking against the back of the entertainment center and pulling.)

If you need more help, please provide more information on your equipment. I will do my best to help you diagnose the problem.

Connect my xbox on reicever

Hi,
If your xbox has HDMI connector then you HDMI cable to connect it to the receiver and another HDMI cable to connect receiver to the TV. Receiver should support both video and audio over HDMI.
If your xbox doesn't have HDMI, connect the video directly to your TV using whatever connector/cable is available (in terms of quality from best to worst: HDMI, component, s-video/scart, composite).
Then connect audio to the receiver via optical spdif cable.

How do i hook up to a tv

It depends on what connections does your TV have and what video sources you want to connect to the receiver.

This receiver doesn't have any video conversion capability. What you connect to HDMI-in of receiver, will be only on the HDMI-out. What you connect to component-in, will be only on component-out (and NOT on HDMI-out or anything else). So it doesn't make sense to connect any source via receiver other than HDMI - in such case, connect just audio (either spdif optical/coax or analog stereo) to the receiver and connect the video directly to TV.
For HDMI you can connect it via receiver, because this will carry both audio and video. Connect your sources (DVD player, sat box) to the receiver's HDMI-in 1-4 and connect HDMI-out to your TV.

Loose hdmi monitor out connection brand new cable

hd EZ lock may help your issue. It's a Universal Locking HDMI Cable Adapter which acts as a strain relief and HDMI Cable lock. It is very effective in eliminating intermittent signal loss caused by a loose connector, as well as eliminating harmful stress on an HDMI Input caused by a heavy HDMI Cable.

It's universal and works with most HDMI Cables and most HDMI Components, and typically installs in minutes. Here's a short video showing installation:

DVD no signal HDMI

Loose or crack or cold solder joint holding the socket of HDMI.Cold solder issues - each component is soldered into small holes on the printed circuit board which in turn connects said component to the other components. Due to time, heat, use, some solder joints would be cracked or loose. It is possible that the cold solder is still minimally connected (hanging by a thread). When the TV turns on heat would be generated which would be sufficient to further loosen up the solder joint to the point it no longer provides electrical contact. Jarring the unit creates movement inside enough to re establish the contact, sometime good enough sometimes not enough.

Again, since the unit still operates (sometimes) then it is highly probable that there are no defective components. As you have surmised, it is possibly a loose connection, solder joints are "connections" except that molten soldering lead is used to attach/connect the component to the board, "loose connection" in this sense is equal to "cold solder".

Again on the assumption of no defective parts, then seeking a more experienced buddy for the soldering might be to your advantage. This is of course in addition to the possible electrical hazards when repairing....If this solution help you understand the problem :rate as fixya..

Good luck;
