Have recently had to remove a jammed cd from my daughter's Denon 3-cd player.Removed CD which was loose inside, without any obvious problems, but on replacing cover & powering up the display remains blank.The player appears dead although the power button is lit up.
Maybe you accidentally break some contact(s), on display or somewhere else. If that is the problem, soldering iron should solve that. Look for any loosen wires or detached contacts.

Got the CD's out, by taking the top off.
Now the tray will not open.
