HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN ROCKING CHAIR CUSHIONS

If your rocking chair cushions are looking weary and old, you don't need to buy a new rocking chair. If you can sew, follow these simple tips and re-upholster your existing cushions or make new ones altogether. Your friends will be congratulating you on your brand new rocking chair.

1. Draw a design for your rocking chair cushion. If you are new to this, keep it simple with a rectangle or square design.

2.
Measure the area for the cushion, taking both length and width and then add 3 cms to each, and this will be the amount of fabric you need.

3. When you buy or cut out the cushion padding, use the original measurements ie without the extra 3cm you added on to the material.

4. Your padding material should be between 1 and 1 and a quarter inches thick.

5. Now cut out your cushion fabric. You need 2 pieces for each cushion. Make sure you keep the lines straight and that they are both exactly the same .

6.
Start at a corner and sew a piping (double seam) along the edge. Then sew the 2 connecting sides to that new seam and this should form a pocket that is connected on 3 sides but has an open top.

7.
Now stuff the cushion. Don't rush this part. Make sure none of the foam is folded over or squashed up inside the cover.

8. Now sew the final seam together. It can be a bit tricky so make sure it's lined up properly.

9.
Once you've finished the basic cushion you can always add extra details such as trimming or tassles.

Enjoy!

How to change the dining chair cloth from down an back side . I was trying to remove it I couldn't , how Cani remove the back side and down ?

the main thing about upholstery is to hide the seams !! so t remove it you will need to find out how they hid the seams , sometimes theres tack strips sometime theres tacks , sometimes its just glue , what ever kind u got , you will need to find edge of seam and rediscover what type of method they used to cover seams with , then its just a matter of undoing the fastener and taking cloth off of wood , ohh and a few hints , allways replace padding too and don't be tempted to use more than what was there , theres a reason they used that amount 1st time and you wont be happy if u try to use more when u put it back together

How do you get the seat too swival on my mvp-4 hoveround power chair

There should be a lever under the seat, left side near the rear. Push the lever toward the rear of the chair to unlock the position. You may require some lubricant, WD-40, if it is stuck.

How do you get the seat too swival on my mvp-4 hoveround power chair

Hoveround manual:
Took the answer right from the manual. If you would like a digital copy of the manual, the link is posted below.
[The swivel seat permits the seat to pivot from the forward facing position through 90 degrees in either the left or right directions. The seat will lock in each of the forward, left and right facing positions. This feature is provided to make side transferring easier. The swivel release lever is mounted on the left side in the standard
position]

I have a Hoveround MVP 4 power wheelchair. I purc...

Hi. your problem could be a couple of faults. Have you checked that both tyres have the same pressure in them? Problem could also be a faulty motor or brake unit. When these motors have done a few years work they build up carbon and copper dust from the brushes and the commutator. the motors can be tested for this if you find a clever serviceman. The motors should also be tested to see if they are both drawing the same current ( amps ) when in use. In answer to your last question, the answer is probably no. Good luck. Neil.
