Do you mean that the SD card does not lock in place? If so the SD card hold is defective and will have to be replaced.

Do you mean the camera won't click (fire?). That is usually caused by a failure of the motor for the SQ unit on the side of the mirror box

Specific models of the Aspire One are also equipped with an SD Expansion slot that can read and write to Secure Digital (SD) and Secure Digital High Capacity card (SDHC) cards.
The multi-in-one card reader on the Aspire One can read and write to miniSD, microSD, Memory Stick Duo,and Memory Stick PRO Duo cards but require the use an adapter. Acer does not provide or support any memory card adapters.
You can try removing the card reader using the device manager and the reinstall it and check the operation. You may also try using the card is different computer and check. Why won't my Sansa 250R won't recognize an sd card?

Your 4GB card is actually a microSDHC card. The e250 works with microSD cards, 2GB and smaller.

My memory card for my d3100 won't format, I've

Dear Madeline Birch,

I suggest, you use the laptop to format your card. The process is as follows.

- Insert the SD card in the SD Card slot available on your laptop. Enter My Computer, and right click on the icon which represents your card. Format it from there as you would do for any other USB data storage.

If you don't have a laptop, or your laptop doesn't have the SD Card slot. Then, you should purchase an SD Card reader. The process mentioned above would be similar.

If all fails. I recommend you to get another card, as the card may have been corrupted.

Hope I was able to sovle your problem.

Forgot my memory card pasword

To format your SD card you need the following SD card, SD memory card adapter, SD card reader on your P.C. first insert the memory card into card adapter, insert the adapter into the P.C, click start>my computer> Secure Digital (SD) card and then navigate into the folder named system folder, open the sub-folder MMCstore and you should be able to see your password and recover it, If you want to reset your password you should just format SD card by clicking start> right click on my computer and select manage> Disk management > go to your SD card, right click on it and select format and then start format.

Sony 1GB Memory Stick PRO Duo Memory Card "full"

You can try recovery tool to see whether your memory card corrupted or not. For example, 4Card Recovery, which is able to recover various files in a few minutes.
Step one, download 4Card Recovery online and install it on your computer.
Step two, run it and choose the files that you want to recover, of course, you can choose recover all files in case of the omission of anything.
Step three, scan it by clicking the 'next' button and wait for about ten minutes.
Step four, save the recovered files on other part to avoid losing it again.
Hope you can solve the problem with this. Have a try.

Camera won't register that there is a memory card, always saving pics to internal memory

Did you use a high capacity memory card with an old camera? For example, did you use a SDHC card in a somewhat old camera?
Some cameras accept only SD card. Although SDHC card has the same shape, it won't be reconized by the camera.

I can not get our memory card to format. it says card error. we are using a microSDHC Ccard with adapter 4gb

Is the camera compatible with SDHC? If it can only handle SD memory cards this card is not readable in the device. It will show on the camera whether it is compatible with SDHC. If it doesn't have the logo, take it as the card won't work and you'll need to get a normal SD card.

There is a theoretical maximum of 2GB for SD memory cards, SDHC start at 4GB and go up to 32GB.

Simply put, if your camera is quite old, it won't support SDHC and therefore is limited to a maximum of 2GB memory card.

You may use any SD card up to 2GB in size. Make sure you don't try larger SDHC cards, as they won't work.
