Fa FUNCTION ERROR ON GE PROFILE STOVE

I am getting a FA function error on my stove. Does anyone know what this means?

I have an FA code as well. Dont know what it is. Everytime it comes on I clear it and it comes back. Not using oven, just cook top

SOURCE: GE Profile double Built-In Oven error Code

According to the GE User manual... any F# error code means you have a function error and they suggest you press the CLEAR/OFF pad and allow the oven to cool for one hour. Then put the oven back into operation. If the function code repeats, disconnect all power from th eoven for at least 30 seconds and then reconnect it.. If it still comes back.. call for service.. however it has been my observation that F0 is usually a shorted off key on the keypad. Hope this helps..

Hello,

The F7 error code means that a function key on the touchpad is shorted or stuck, the F7 can be cleared by pushing the clear/off button,if the error code returns the touchpad would need to be replaced.

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F7 means that the function pad button is stuck or the clock has gone bad. If you are unable to unstick the button then to resolve this issue you’ll have to replace the electronic range control. F7 error code

Hi
On a GE range oven F7 indicates either a function pad button is stuck or the clock on the oven is malfunctioning

On the 99 Range oven F7 indicates a shorted Clear/Off Key due to membrane switch or a shorted control or connector

On the GE XL44 Self Clean Oven F7 is Stuck keypad or control relay malfunction

I was getting only the F0 error code. The wiring diagram inside the stove said F0 indicated a bad off button on the keypanel. There were instructions to check the ribbon cable on certain lines, with values for the resistance. It seemed to check out, so I ordered a replacement and voila, it worked.

the digital control for the JPT-18 and customer are trying to have GE replace them. It is called the F7 error
